But to fulfill Eternia's wish, do you think phrases and commants sounds better in German or in English? And is there a language you think the meaning is clearer than in the other one?

The most beautiful phrases has the english language, in my opinion.

There's nothing worse than a bad spell of english.
Especially based on"th"

By the way, that's why I also like to read english subs more often than german,
because it's simple the better way to make out a situation.

You may think that if you dont talk english on a regular basis.
Because when you do, you notice that those phrases are getting old pretty fast -_-
We are all lucky to be able to talk fluent german, its a much nicer language with
better and deeper ways to express yourself...

And I think by "spell" you mean "pronounce" xD Yes a lot of germans screw this up and
say "s" instead of the real "th"... what makes them look pretty awkward
still most english people would not mind it, they kinda expect that from german people
or euros in general

thats right i do the same thing... but thats just because in english its shorter, simpler, easier
to get the message across... good enough for anime, but Iam sure it still looses a lot in translation

i just saw the original english version of bones and i have to say.... it's great ö_ö!
i mean... there're many phrases i don't understand, but if they talk about that forensic shit in german i also just can imagine what they're talking about.
so... i've decided to keep on watching this in english :3

Now that you mention...
There are some "Doctor Who" episodes I didn't watch so far. :x
They've just synchronized the first and second season in german (but the german voices are sounding so awful X.x.).
So I decided to watch them in english and that's absolutely the best I could do *-*.
I mean exspecially the "Doctor" sounds more like I'd imagine him.

Apart from that I also watch Heroes in english.

But I know what you mean.
The original definitely always sounds much better than the german version :X

a word because of that ^^

also, have you ever seen a disney movie in english?
it's cruel x_X the songs and voices...
they don't fit to the characters at all!
also the americans say that the german
synchonizations of their disney movies
like lion king sounds much better in our
language than in english ö_ö!

when i was in canada 3 years ago i watched
a lot of tv there, it was quite funny - later it became
normal to me to hear speak english... but i've forgotten it x_X
thought i should learn it again before i'll visit someone special *-*

I never watched a disney movie in english to be honest X.x.
But I guess I should try it... it sounds.... interesting?! ^-^

For me it's hard to understand the british accent.
Which means they're talking a way too fast for me O.o.
Sometimes I have to watch a part of the episode over and over again,
just because I couldn't get what they said :X
Some british people swallow some words O.O

I'd like to go somewhere in america.
I've a pen pal in arizona.
But it's too expensive C.c.
She'll visit germany in 2012, and I'm excited to meet her :)
(Don't know why I'm talking about it?! Maybe because you wrote of your journey to canada :D).

oh... i've never mentioned that i'll go back to canada again so... why do you know about that xD?

when i was younger i was a great disney fan *-*
i'm still a fan of it, of course, but when i started to watch these movies again i tryed watching them in english.
can't say if they're better or worse than the german ones...i like them both <3
thought you have to find out for yourself xP

also, i don't have bigger problems to understand written or spoken english...
it's just... i hate to write or speak it by myself x_X

It's the first show i decided to (re)watch in English. Normally it's too hard for me too understand everything. And i can't relax if i have to concentrate to understand what they say. I wish it would be easier, there are a lot of shows i'd like to watch in english. Well i will try to improve my understanding capability while rewatching shows i liked and hopefully sometime i will be able to watch sitcoms or so in their original version *_*

I also love the disney movies, but it has been a long time since I watched them :x

For me it's easier to read/watch/understand english than speak it by myself.
I'm afraid to have a accent which is too bad :S
A friend of mine travels much and he has a perfect english and when he asked me
to talk to him in english I was too scared :X

I even was outside today... and I think such a weather raises the mood.

Haha, I could laugh so hard. Yesterday I had the first english lesson of my training
and it was so easy that I could have fallen asleep. O.O
( I guess, a elementary school is using a more difficult english :d)
